Best Golf Skorts 2025
A combination of comfort and a confidence boost, the skort is a fantastic way of adding color or femininity to an outfit

Katie Dawkins
Skorts continue to be hugely popular, sported by most players on all of the women's tours and a staple in club golfers' wardrobes. But which skort works for you? We believe comfort and confidence are really the winning combo in this category. Not too short but flattering enough to make you feel athletic enough to saunter onto Centre Court. Wrong sport we hear you cry? But perhaps a skort should have multiple purposes. It could indeed be worn on the tennis court, or with a T-shirt on a day out with the kids.
A skort is a key piece when women are trying to stay active and not flash one’s knickers whilst tackling a toddler or lining up that putt, yet still feeling a splash of femininity has been added into the choice of outfit for the day.
There are so many different colors, designs and fabrics to choose from, and some also come in different lengths. These are all the things we’ve taken into account when testing and compiling our guide to the best skorts in golf. It's also worth checking out our best women's golf shirts guide to get that winning combo. Additionally why not check out our other buying guides on the best golf rain jackets or best golf vests.
Best Golf Skorts
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: 2 Aurora Ruby/Brown and Collegiate Navy/Wonder Silver
Fabric: 86% Recycled Polyester 14% Elastane
+ Incredible comfort thanks to the elasticated waist
+ The best pockets in any skort I’ve ever worn
- Felt a tiny bit like school uniform but I love it
This skort is so easy to pull on yet fits to your body like it was tailor made for you. The gingham fabric has almost a waffle effect, light and airy with beautifully stretchy undershorts built in. The colour is absolutely stunning. The reason that I love these Adidas skorts (I have a white one and live in it) is that elasticated waistband, giving comfort and a flattering shape.
With a drawstring if needed to be tightened as the size comes up a little large for a small. Easily adjusted thanks to this feature to fit your body shape perfectly. This skort is such a flattering length. The 4 deep pockets offer superb practicality. So this is a winner as far as I am concerned. Huge, huge, huge fan of the Adidas skorts.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 4 - Wonder Silver, Collegiate Navy, Pure Sulfur, Aurora Ruby
Fabric: 89% Recycled Polyester/11% Elastane
+ Striking print
+ Provides
- Length might not suit everyone
I was drawn to the bold, contemporary print of this skort – the close-up effect is almost hypnotic! At 16 inches, this is an inch shorter in length than most skorts, but it suited me. I also really like the wide, stretchy waistband, it was very easy to pull on with built-in undershorts and felt comfortable instantly.
It’s a typical A-line style and it fell nicely over my hips with room to spare. Another notable feature is the piping detail on the two slanted pockets at the front, plus there are two handy welt pockets at the back. It’s a very sporty looking skort in a soft fabric that provides excellent comfort, so if you combine it with a top in the same print, it’s definitely a head turning outfit.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 8
Fabric: 88% Polyester/12% Elastane
+ Eye-catching design
+ Provides ultimate comfort
- No side pockets on skort
Now this is what you call a pleated skort! The classic knife pleats of this pull-on 16” Double Down skort from Bad Birdie might not appeal to everyone, but I love the streamlined look and the way they ripple as you move.
I also found it very comfortable, especially the high and stretchy waistband, which helps to create a flattering fit. The pleats naturally provide an airy feel along with the cheeky front slit, which is designed in this way to give you easy access to the left-hand pocket on the undershorts. I must admit, without any side pockets on the skort, I had to get used to using that pocket for tees. I like the plum Jammy colorway, but there are 7 other colors to choose from, and with matching polo shirts, this is an eye-catching summer outfit.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1
Fabric: 78% Nylon/22% Spandex
+ Silky soft fabric
+ Flattering A-line shape
- Only one color option
I’ve reviewed a lot of skorts and this is one of the lightest, made in soft nylon that looks and feels like silk. The pattern is very delicate, not an obvious flower print, so fresh looking and easygoing on the eye. It’s a pull-on style and comes with built-in shorts. There’s pockets on the shorts and I really like the concealed zipped side pockets on the skort, they are almost camouflaged.
I felt very comfortable, I didn’t have to adjust the skort or undershorts, and it’s a flattering A-line shape. I did notice that the silkiness of the fabric means that the hem is slightly wavy so it looks like it needs straightening, but this doesn’t spoil the overall effect, especially if you pair this skort with the Aye Poppy shirt, it’s a gorgeous outfit.
Sizes: XXS-XXL
Colours: 5 - Micro Check Navy, Black, Navy, White, Pacific Coast
Fabric: 86% Recycled Polyester/14% Elastane
+ Moves with your body
+ Goes with variety of colour tops
- Micro patterns aren’t for everyone
I am always excited for golf skort weather and this Rohnisch Chie Comfort Skort is worth waiting for. If you like cute and modest this is for you with a decent length skirt and a fit that is not skintight. Its flattering pencil fit doesn’t take away from the comfort, the fabric has four-way stretch so you can really go after your swing if that’s your style of play.
The navy with light blue micro pattern means this skort is not boring or too out there either. It can be styled with the many block colour tops we all have! I have a thing for pockets and belt loops, this skort has both! There’s also the added bonus of a twill style fabric that looks smart even when there’s no iron as this skort is in wrinkle free fabric.
Sizes: XXS-XXL
Colors: 12 prints
Fabric: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
+ Choice of prints and length
+ Highly functional
- Won’t appeal if you prefer plain skorts
This Golftini skort comes in 12 different prints, but I particularly like the Power Girl design, as the bold green flowers on white really pop and feel so fresh for summer. You can choose your preferred length, either 16.5” or 17.5”, and the deep waistband paired with the similarly wide hem gives it a lovely wavy look.
It’s easy to pull on and feels light and comfortable thanks to the four-way stretch fabric. The built-in white shorts fit nicely and give you that extra bit of confidence. There are two back pockets, and one has a Grosgrain ribbon trim to keep your scorecard in place. There’s also a small front pocket that’s perfect for tee pegs. With so many matching tops in the Golftini range, it’s easy to put together a standout outfit.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 3 - White, Maliblu, Navy
Fabric: 75% Nylon/25% Elastane
+ Beautiful fabric
+ Comfortable fit
- No side pockets
The johnnie-O Ashlyn skort is designed to be worn for a number of different sporting activities and from the golf course to casual. It’s easy to pull on, has a deep waistband and I like the simple and classy style of this skort with a single pleat on the left-hand side. What really stands out for me is the lovely texture of the non-crease nylon fabric, which has 50+ UV protection.
The built-in shorts have a pocket on each side and they fit very comfortably, and there’s also a small invisible pocket on the back above a raised j-O logo. But that’s the only downside for me, I would like at least one convenient side pocket for a few essentials. However, I’d definitely overlook this as the skort looks and feels so good.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 4 - Coral Quartz, Charm Pink, Black Iris, Bright White
Fabric: 45% Polyester/45% Recycled Polyester/10% Elastane
+ Beautifully styled
+ Provides comfort
- Pleated design might not suit everyone
Pleats are giving women’s golf fashion a sporty look and an extra feminine touch. I really love the cut of this A-line pull-on skort from Penguin and the way the box pleats hang from the deep waistband. The lightweight and stretch fabric allows for a flexible fit and the built-in undershorts have a seal at the hem, which does stop them from riding up.
I also like the way the slanted side pockets blend seamlessly into the pleats, and they are nicely finished with neat stitching at either end. At 17”, I found this to be a flattering length and the pleats had just the right amount of swish on the golf course. I was surprised how much I like the vibrant coral quartz color, and paired with Penguin’s Pete’s Bowtie polo shirt, this is a statement outfit.
Sizes: 6-20
Colors: 5 - Cornflower Blue, Navy Paradise Garden, White/Neoteric, Vibrant Bloom, Sweet Pea
Fabric: 95% Recycled Polyester/5% Elastane
+ Ultra feminine
+ Choice of prints
- Flouncy design might not appeal to everyone
The design of Ping’s Odetta pull-on skort has such a flattering shape, especially at the back where the soft pleats create a lovely fullness and flow. There’s plenty of detail to appreciate too. The front panel is flat, which gives it a clean look, and there are two handy hip pockets at the sides (though no pocket at the back). I like the striped elastic waistband that wraps from the sides to the back, as it adds both comfort and a bit of sporty flair.
It comes in five different prints, all of which can be matched with polos in the same or coordinating patterns. The fabric has a good amount of stretch, so it’s comfortable to move in, and the built-in shorts fit nicely. For me, it’s one of those pieces that instantly lifts your look and your mood.
Sizes: 6-20UK
Colors: 7 Sweet Pea, Navy, White, Aruba Blue, Pink Blossom, Ivy, Cornflower Blue
Fabric: 90% Polyester, 10% Elastane
+ Fantastic structure and feminine shape
+ Elastic waistband makes the fit very comfortable.
- Shallow pockets
This skort is beautifully structured for a pull on skort. The elastic waist band means you can choose the size depending on the fit you are after. A size 8 fits higher on the waist and makes the length shorter. A 10 would sit lower and be longer. The kick flare pleats create wonderful shape and movement as you hit the ball. The material isn’t too lightweight but does keep you cool and wick moisture away from your skin.
The sweet pea pink is the prettiest colour I’ve seen in a long time on the golf course and it’s not alone. With other colours such as Ivy and Aruba Blue the choices are bolder and plentiful as there are 7 to choose from. I love the fact it’s got belt loops This skort moves with me and behaves itself in the wind. Absolute winner.
Sizes: UK 8-20
Colors: 2 - Violet Fields, Santorini Skies
Fabric: 100% Polyester
+ Comfortable and flattering fit
+ Non-crease
- Only two prints in this design
The Clarity skort from Pure Golf’s Pastel Haze collection features the Violet Fields print in soft shades of purple and lilac, pretty without being overly girly. These colours mix and match easily with lots of tops in the summery range. The classic shape isn’t clingy, although it is fairly fitted for a flattering look, and it should suit plenty of body types. Unlike lots of pull-on skorts out there, this one has a zip and button fastening, plus belt loops.
It’s a bit longer than others I’ve tried this season, but still looked great and felt comfy. The waistband has just the right amount of stretch, and the four pockets, two at the front with silver logo studs and two at the back, are handy. It’s breathable, doesn’t ride up, and washes like a dream - no ironing needed!
Sizes: 2X-XL
Colors: 1 - Black/White
Fabric: 85% Polyester/15% Polyurethane
+ Striking design and colorway
+ Comfortable fit
- Dry clean only
Pleats are definitely having a moment for spring/summer 2025, and I really like this unique take from PXG. The skirt is half-pleated at both the front and back, which gives it a modern twist, and the black and white colourway - PXG’s signature - makes it seriously striking. At the front, just under the waistband, there’s five silver PXG snap buttons and at the back, the elastic waistband adds extra comfort, and there are two pockets.
There are also two front pockets, and I was impressed by how deep they are.I like the side zip fastening too. It’s made from a four-way stretch fabric and has built-in biker shorts, so you get great freedom of movement. The quality really stands out, although it’s worth noting that it’s dry clean only.
Sizes: XXS-XXL
Colors: 3 - Monogram Peach, Navy, White
Fabric: 88% Polyester/12% Elastane
+ Standout pattern
+ Comfortable fit
- Opt for plain color if you don’t like pattern
Orange is everywhere this season from deeper burnt tones to pastel peach, just like this monogram patterned skort from Rohnisch. It’s an A-line design with box pleats that add playfulness and femininity. The fabric is another highlight for me, it’s lightweight and soft to the touch, it has UPF 50+ protection and on a very hot day the moisture wicking tech will step up to keep you dry and fresh.
The inner shorts match in plain peach and have a pocket on the right-hand side. I like the concealed zipped pocket on the side seam of the skort, as it’s practical without interrupting the design. The waistband is very stretchy and combined with the airy feel and flow of this skort, I found it very comfortable when walking and swinging a club.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 1 - Midnight Navy / Halo Gray - 410
Fabric: 77% Polyester/23% Elastane
+ Fun pleats
+ Silicone grip inside shorts
- Very short
I loved this skort, so fun to wear and in my favourite golf colour - navy! It is pretty short and I’m a half-pint at 5 '1". That being said, the pleated version is a great addition to the UA Drive knit skorts which have a straighter cut front and back. This feels like a playful skirt and when the sun is full beams on it’s the kind of item you’d like to pull out.
I’m a bit of a navy fiend so that got me, the skort also has pockets, is stretchy and doesn’t inhibit your movement in any way. Easy care, low maintenance the pleats are more wavy than pressed. The silicone grip inside the shorts means they don’t move around whilst you play. This is wear, wash and repeat for me.
Colors: Available in different designs
Sizes: XXS-XXL
Fabric: 95% Polyester/5% Spandex
+ High-quality fabric
+ Ultra comfortable
- Pattern won’t suit everyone
US brand Golftini produces a multitude of different skorts in various designs, but we particularly like this Downtime skort as it has an eye-catching zig-zag design in contrasting shades of hot pink, red, light pink, khaki and white. It also comes in two lengths - 16.5” and 17.5”.
The four-way stretch makes it easy to pull on and take off, and the wide waistband provides a comfortable fit. The fabric feels substantial and you cannot help but notice the high quality stitching, including the ribbon trim on the back scorecard pocket. There’s also a front tee pocket and that comes in very handy. The built-in undershorts are in the same fabric as the skort and these fit snug, which is another plus point, so combined with the A-line shape, this skort has the ability to flatter women!
Colors: 1
Sizes: XS-XXL
Fabric: 95% Recycled Polyester/5% Elastane
+ Extremely flattering
+ Stretch in the fabric complete freedom and comfort
- 17” length - others may suit a shorter style
This is undoubtedly one of the most flattering golf skorts I’ve ever tried on. The fabric is so soft and smooth and genuinely just suits my slightly curvy pear-shaped silhouette. I love how the geometric pattern frames the bottom edge of the hem and matches the polo shirt, making this a really stylish outfit.
The material is soft to touch, with just enough stretch to make the fit incredibly comfortable, allowing total swing movement freedom. I like that this is a fraction longer on me than other skorts. At 17 inches it will definitely suit the woman with longer legs and won’t look like a mini skirt! There are two discrete yet good-sized pockets on the front of the to slip your tee pegs into.
Colors: 3
Sizes: XS-XXL
Fabric: 75% Nylon/25% Spandex
+ Incredible comfort
+ Stylish and feminine
- Length is quite short
Nivo’s Abi skort is a great example of a must-have summer wardrobe essential. It’s made from a very sporty stretch lycra fabric that gives it a really fantastic fit. The beauty of the Lycra is that it hugs your skin so that you have a flattering silhouette, but it’s soft to touch and very comfortable to wear.
There’s a pair of matching lycra shorts underneath for comfort and privacy, while allowing total swing freedom of movement. I love the way the material floats at the back of the skort, thanks to the pretty folds. The downside of this is it does tend to come up quite short in the length, so if you have long legs you may find it looks more like a mini skirt.
Colors: 10
Sizes: 8-18
Fabric: 100% Polyester
+ Flattering shape
+ Choice of colors
- Not an option if you prefer a pull-on skort
If you’re looking for a comfortable and easy-to-wear A-line skort this summer, then the Calm from Pure Golf is a good option. The design will suit most body shapes and it’s available in 9 different colors, so women will be hard pushed not to find at least one color they like.
It’s made in a four-way stretch polyester fabric, lightweight and very comfy to wear, and compared with other skorts in a similar fabric, the Calm has a more solid feel. In terms of detail, we like the small slit at the back and the silver studs that define the two front pockets and the button of the fly zip. These are etched with the Pure Golf logo, which also features on the two back pockets in very subtle stitching for an overall stylish effect.
Colors: 11
Sizes: XS-XL
Fabric: 92% Nylon/8% Polyurethane
+ Extremely flattering
+ Comfortable fabric
- Style might be too flouncy for some women
This is one of the most feminine and flattering skorts I have ever worn. It’s no surprise that it’s called Flounce, it has a lovely flair at the bottom and at 16”, a really nice length, especially for petite women.
The fabric has soft texture and is super lightweight, so very comfortable to wear, not just for golf, but a range of activities. It also features UPF 50+ to protect from the sun, as well as Ibkul’s patented icefil technology that reduces moisture buildup on your skin to help regulate your body temperature by up to 5 degrees. There are pockets, either side and two more on the undershorts. As this skort is available in 11 colors, you probably won’t want just one in your wardrobe!
Colors: 2
Sizes: XS-XXL
Fabric: Double Knit Modal
+ Incredible quality and highly practical
+ Teflon Eco-Elite coating, which is water and stain resistant
- Internal shorts offer little give
This Jackie O inspired A-Line skort is so classy. Paired with bright popping colours on top or on foot you could have a real ode to the 60’s get up going. Pair it with a sleeveless white top or long-sleeve polo shirt and you suddenly ooze class.
Well structured, deep pockets, two at the front and one at the back and with beautiful piping. The detail is really impressive. I’d say the internal shorts are a bit like silky pyjama bottoms, not a lot of give to them and fairly sheer. I’d line my putts up carefully in this one. Though at 16” it’s long enough to be modest. A fun and classic skort that will stand the test of time and has already got me excited about the summer.
Colors: 2
Sizes: XS-XL
Fabric: 100% Polyester
+ Fantastic fit with 3 functional pockets
+ Feminine and funky pattern
- Pattern not for everyone
This skort is another level of gorgeous. The design is fun and feminine without being too delicate. I think this will appeal to the inner surf girl. The fit is magnificent, material is confidence boosting and the waistband is extra wide offering a tummy flattening effect. The fabric has ample stretch, making it comfortable to wear. It’s also worth mentioning that there’s no wrinkling with the easy to care for fabric.
This has already become a firm favorite and when paired with the matching FJ shirts on offer you have a garment that is stacked with versatility. FootJoy offers a longer length skort in i’s plain interlock design and it’s a shame that isn’t an option here. The larger sizes would benefit from a longer length.
Colors: 1
Sizes: XS-XXL
Fabric: 44% Recycled Polyester/12% Elastane
+ Shorts stay in place
+ Waistband Fits to your body
- Bottom of shorts are quite thick and might dig in
This skort is as light as a feather and is a very sensible length. This won’t blow about in the wind and flash the shorts for all to see. The undershorts have a logo embossed gripper around the bottom, so they don’t rise up, but this adds a bit of extra thickness to the under layer. Undershorts usually look and feel fairly invisible, but these do feel like shorts under a skirt. That said, this does impact overall comfort.
The pattern is very flattering and hides all manner of lumps and bumps and the tri-color stripe down the right side makes this skort ultra sporty. It has two pockets at the rear that won’t take any heavy items as the fabric is super stretchy and lightweight.
Colors: 5
Sizes: XS-XL
Fabric: 88% Polyester/12% Spandex
+ 5 unique designs
+ Flattering shape
- No back pocket
British brand Famara creates art-inspired designs and this A-line skort, Forget Me Not, predominantly in purple, a color which is definitely on-trend for 2024, is one of five designs. It’s easy to pull on and I was impressed by the quality of the fabric and stitching detail, it feels luxurious.
The A-line design will suit most female golfers, and while it’s fairly clingy, the sculpted shape helps to make you feel and look good. I also like the wide waistband and this combined with the stretch fabric ensures a comfortable fit. There’s a deep pocket on the left-hand side at the bottom that’s useful for a few tee pegs or a ball. The in-built shorts also feature a small pocket and as they are attached to the waistband, they don’t shift!
How we test
We test golf apparel in the same way we test all golf equipment, by using products properly. In relation to tops this means putting them to the test out on the golf course to see if the design is well thought out, if the garment interferes with the swing in any way, and simply if the top is actually usable. We would also wear the tops off the golf course as well because versatility to use a garment anywhere is a great way to get value for money. The final point we wanted to mention here is no manufacturer can pay for a good review because our thorough testing team tells it how it is.
How to choose the best golf skort
When looking for the perfect skort it's important you tick the boxes that are right for you. Everyone is different and some like them longer some like a butt skimmer. There are so many on the market it's worth shopping about and going for a dark plain number, a bright sporty one and perhaps throwing a jazzy pattern in for days where you just need to smile.
What length are you after? Do you want a pencil fit, sporty fit or a more A-line skort? Does the skort match up with your shoes or any other items in your wardrobe? Not that this is essential as far as I'm concerned- retail therapy is always a happy therapy.
The amazing news is it isn't just scorching summer days the skort is limited to. I wear mine with a pair of warm leggings to brighten up a windy Autumn day on the course. Be inventive with your golf outfits and give it a go with perhaps a pair of Adidas Cold.RDY leggings underneath.
