The prize money for the 2025 PGA Championship has been confirmed, with Scottie Scheffler picking up the top paycheck at Quail Hollow.
The figure is $500,000 more than the 2024 event at Valhalla, when $18.5m was available, with Xander Schauffele claiming the first prize of $3.3m when he beat Bryson DeChambeau by one in 2024.
For 2025, Scottie Scheffler endured a tough final round but, in the end, the World No.1 managed to claim a four shot victory and the $3.42 million first prize.

The increased prize money in 2025 continues a trend of bettering the previous year’s total. It meant the tournament was $8 million higher than that of five years ago at TPC Harding Park, when winner Collin Morikawa won $1.98m.
Like the other three Majors, it’s not just the players who complete the tournament who receive payment for their participation.
Everyone who failed to make it to the weekend also receives $4,000, the same amount handed to anyone who made the cut, but fails to finish the tournament.

Not only did Scheffler claim the $3.42 million first prize but, in the process, he also secured a first Wanamaker Trophy.
What's more, the win means Scheffler is halfway towards the Career Grand Slam, claiming two Masters victories and a PGA Championship.
Up ahead, there is the US Open and Open Championship, with Scheffler going into those events as favorite following a dominant victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and PGA Championship.
