How Much Did Scottie Scheffler's Caddie Win At The Memorial Tournament?

The Memorial Tournament was the seventh of the PGA Tour's Signature Events this season, and there was a familiar name at the top of the leaderboard following the final round - Scottie Scheffler.

As one of the three player-hosted Signature Events, his win at the Jack Nicklaus-hosted tournament handed him 20% of the overall purse of $20m, meaning he heads away from Muirfield Village with $4m. However, his caddie Ted Scott has done very well from his week's work, too.

A good chunk of Scheffler's winnings will be paid to Scott, with the victor typically handing over 10% of his prize money. That means his caddie will likely bank $400,000 from the tournament. That will be an identical sum to what Scott won at the tournament a year ago, when Scheffler also banked $4m for his victory.

That was just one part of a dominant season for the American, and it is estimated that Scott finished the year with over $5m in earnings.

Scheffler had a slower start to 2025, although there's no doubt normal service has been resumed. Scheffler's first win of the season came at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson at the start of May, and he followed that up with victory in the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow before making it three wins in his last four starts at the Memorial Tournament.

From those three wins alone, Scheffler won $9.2m, with Scott likely to have earned around $920,000. Scheffler also finished T4 in the one tournament he didn't win in his last four starts, the Charles Schwab Challenge. With 7% of his $427,500 prize money heading to Scott, that means that, within the space of a month, the caddie has likely boosted his bank balance by close to $1m.
